Empanada pastry 09-08-2016

I made the dough at lunch time, super easy, basically a savory pie crust. I am going to deep fry mine, just seems wrong to bake something that should be fried.

Recipe is from Epicurious.com which I changed slightly by using butter flavor Crisco, Adobo seasoning instead of salt and cutting it in half.

Pie crust mixing rules, it’s super easy.  I used just shy of 1/6th cup of ice water and a splash of vinegar. The dough came together easily and requite very little extra flour.
